With the transcutaneous approach, a tiny incision is created just beneath the lower eyelid’s lash line. Excess fat and skin are then removed. With the transconjunctival approach, the incision is created inside the lower lid, completely hiding any post-surgical marks. This option is specifically used to address excess bulging fatty tissue.

When Dr. Bovenzi performs rhinoplasty, he may use an open or closed technique. Open rhinoplasty involves lifting the skin of the nose for greater access to the underlying tissues. Closed rhinoplasty involves making tiny incisions inside the nostrils and working through these incisions to make changes.
This procedure may involve alterations to the bone, cartilage, and soft tissue of the nose. Dr. Bovenzi may use a piezotome to apply ultrasound waves to the bone or cartilage of the nose, creating precise incisions. He may also insert a nasal graft made from the patient’s ear, rib, or septal cartilage in order to bolster an area of the nose.

During this procedure, Dr. Bovenzi inserts a tool called a cannula into a small incision beneath the chin (called the submental region). He uses the cannula’s sharp end to loosen fatty tissues and then removes them with medical suction.

During otoplasty surgery, after a small incision is made on the back of the ear, the cartilage of the outer ear is carefully reshaped. This can include the cartilage of the rim and the earlobe. Sutures are used to maintain the new shape of the ear.
Facial fat grafting fills in hollow temples, gaunt cheeks, tear troughs, and jawline depressions. It can also fill in age lines and restore youthful contours to the face. The fat used during this procedure lasts much longer than any filler on the market and is completely natural, since it comes from the patient’s own body.
During this procedure, excess stubborn fat is first removed from another area of the body, typically the lower abdomen. This fat is then purified to remove dead and damaged cells, along with any unnecessary materials. Finally, the healthy fat cells are carefully injected into key regions of the face.
Dr. Bovenzi performs buccal fat reduction, also called bichectomy surgery, to help Denver patients reduce excess cheek fat. This slims the face, reducing the look of “chipmunk cheeks.”
During the procedure, a tiny incision is created inside the mouth. Part of the fat pad is carefully exposed, and then a walnut-sized amount of fat is removed from it using a scalpel.
